Julie is an award-winning community builder, entrepreneur, and researcher, with over 15 years of hands-on leadership in developing frameworks that specialize in helping people practice curiosity.

Her global perspective is informed by her Vietnamese roots, international education, and cross-sector experience spanning journalism, history, marketing, nonprofit leadership, management consulting, and technology — including her “real-life MBA” gained by leading her family’s Vietnamese-language newspaper, Người Việt Tây Bắc (Northwest Vietnamese News), in Seattle.

She earned her PhD in History (Gates Cambridge Scholar) from Cambridge University and graduated magna cum laude from UC Berkeley as a Haas Scholar, with research grounded in the belief that multiple truths can co-exist and curiosity helps us discover and accept all of them.
