Maia brings to the CuriosityBased team her experience as an award-winning marketing and communications business owner and journalist, with almost two decades of hands-on leadership in developing strategic marketing frameworks that specialize in storytelling and community building. Her professional toolkit is informed by international education and cross-cultural living experiences, and work across community, economic development, nonprofit, and for-profit sectors in multiple industries.
She earned her Master of Science (High Honors) in Integrated Marketing Communications from the West Virginia University’s Reed School of Media with a thesis grounded in rigorous training in audience insight, brand equity, media planning and research analysis. She earned a BS in International Studies from Marlboro College and School for International Training and is currently based in Minneapolis, MN.
